Introduction to Kaltura (25/10/2018)
Kaltura is our digital media hosting and creation platform for everyone at the University of Sheffield. This session will include step by step guidance on creating media to use within your teaching, how your students can submit media artefacts for assessment and how you can find and re-use existing media already in Kaltura.
Introduction to reflective learning in PebblePad (05/11/2018)
Pebblepad is a powerful system for creating ePortfolios, and encouraging reflective practice in your learners. This session looks at what Pebblepad is and how it can be used, giving ideas for reflective tasks and assignments on a modular or programme level, and practical skills in creating workbooks for your students.
Next Steps with MOLE (21/11/2018)
This session will look at taking your MOLE course further, exploring course design, assessment, and the embedding of media and external services. Its aim to provoke ideas of how a VLE can be used to increase engagement and learning opportunities, in ways that do not require technical skills, advanced software or large time commitments. Note it is expected participants have previous experience of using MOLE, or have attended an Introduction to MOLE session.
Getting Started with Turnitin and Feedback Studio (27/11/2018)
This session focuses on using the Turnitin and Feedback studio (formally GradeMark) tools within MOLE. In this session you will find out how to: - Set up a Turnitin Assignment - How to access students work - How to interpret originality reports - How to give marks and feedback to student work

Introduction to Classroom Engagement (06/12/2018)
Technology in the classroom can be a powerful tool in engaging students, even in large cohorts. This session looks at some of the systems that can be utilised to help increase interaction, gather feedback and focus attention on large group teaching. Tools we will look at include: > Responseware (TurningPoint) > Padlet > Kahoot You will also get an opportunity to try these technologies as a learner and discuss their benefits.
