TELFest 2016 – Online Learning Case Studies

Colleagues from across the University share their approaches to developing online learning. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of colleagues and consider how these approaches may offer value within your practice. The sessions include:

Peter Holdridge and Prof Stephen Pinfield of the iSchool will present on ‘Critical Factors in delivering the LISM (Library and Information Services Management) distance learning programme, looking at how the programme was developed, and the design and delivery (both technical and pedagogical) of the content using a variety of technologies.

Angie Rees (School of Health and Related Research) will present on ‘Moving from face to face to online induction – experience and lessons learned’, talking about the experience of moving the MSc Health Informatics programme to an online-only course, and exploring topics including managing student expectations, and increasing engagement.
