What is the TELHub?

Hub font page logo

The TELHub is a resource created by the Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team at the University of Sheffield, based in Corporate Information & Computing Services (CiCS). The TEL team supports face-to-face and distance learning, carries out research and offers advice related to how technology can be used to enhance teaching and learning for both curricular and co-curricular activities.

The site is divided into two parts:

This section provides details of the different learning technologies available at the University of Sheffield, and has a wealth of documentation to help you get started with and optimally embed within technology with your practice.

Case studies

This section showcases innovative use and effective practice of learning technology from colleagues across the University of Sheffield. You’ll find case studies on a wide range of topics including: distance learning, assessment and feedback and mobile learning.

As well as this, you will find details of forthcoming events and activities run by the TEL team, including regular training, and the team’s TELFest conference, which runs bi-annually during January and September.

We hope that you enjoy exploring the site. If you would like to get in touch with any comments, or for advice with the use of technology to enhance you delivery of learning, please contact us at tel@sheffield.ac.uk.
